Thornhill Presbyterian Church is an active, vibrant, multicultural, and intergenerational Christian congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Located in the heart of old Thornhill , TPC reflects the heritage of our community and the rich cultural diversity of our region. We worship God in a spirit of joy and gratitude as we mix a blend of contemporary and traditional worship and music styles. Our vision is to discover, celebrate and share God’s love. We do this through bible study, fellowship, sharing and an active ministry of outreach into our local community, across Canada and internationally.

May 26th 2013 will be a GREAT DAY at TPC!

 

Giving for the Future

Guest speaker is Joseph Taylor, the executive director of Evangel Hall

 

Proceeds from Great Day will support the following areas:

Globel Focus -  PWS & D to support two areas:  Girl's education, school supplies and family food security in Afghaniston affirming the Sunday School mission project, and Water and Sanitation projects affirming the Justice Committee's water initiative.

Community Focus - Evangel Hall Mission to help with their 100 year celebration and to support the start of their next centennial.

Local Focus - To provide money for the purchase and installation of a new and improved sign at the front of the church to effectively communicate to all who pass by.

 Church_Picnic 

This years Congregational Picnic

is scheduled for Sunday June 23rd

directly following our worship service.

  • Our annual picnic is a time to spend fellowshipping
  • a time to get to know even more people
  • enjoy the youth of our congregation as they run relay races and more

  • and time to just relax and enjoy all of your church family
  • all of which is done with a fantastic display of food and a delicious barbecue

Prayer Chain

Thornhill Presbyterian has a very strong and supportive Prayer Chain.  Members of this group pray on a daily basis for those that have requested prayers, be that to keep in confidence amoung the group or shared on a whole.  Please contact the administrator, Stephanie Vandermey at 905-889-5391, should you wish to have your name, or a name of a friend/loved one, lifted in prayer.
